Some good lyrics
@ 2008-08-30 – 16:49:11
I've just listened to I've Seen It All by Bjork feat. Thom Yorke and it has some of the best lyrics that I've heard in a while.
It was about a mother who was slowly becoming blind and she was basically trying to look on the bright side. It's very sweet.
The lyrics may be slightly different to the video.
I've seen it all, I have seen the trees,
I've seen the willow leaves dancing in the breeze
I've seen a man killed by his best friend,
And lives that were over before they were spent.
I've seen what I was - I know what I'll be
I've seen it all - there is no more to see!You haven't seen elephants, kings or Peru!
I'm happy to say I had better to do
What about China? Have you seen the Great Wall?
All walls are great, if the roof doesn't fall! And the man you will marry?
The home you will share?
To be honest, I really don't care...You've never been to Niagara Falls?
I have seen water, its water, that's all...
The Eiffel Tower, the Empire State?
My pulse was as high on my very first date!
Your grandson's hand as he plays with your hair?
To be honest, I really don't care...I've seen it all, I've seen the dark
I've seen the brightness in one little spark.
I've seen what I chose and I've seen what I need,
And that is enough, to want more would be greed.
I've seen what I was and I know what I'll be
I've seen it all - there is no more to see! You've seen it all and all you have seen
You can always review on your own little screen
The light and the dark, the big and the small
Just keep in mind - you need no more at all
You've seen what you were and know what you'll be
You've seen it all - there is no more to see! -
Repetition

This is basically the only thing I ever blog about but I was wondering if anyone knew any good bands because I am once again in search of come new music. I am not really into classical or r'n'b music but apart from that I like anything.
Thanks for any suggestions
Oh and also there are some sneaky peeks at the Mighty Boosh book which you can pre-order on Amazon on this link http://themightybooshsite.trinitystreetdirect.com/news.aspx?id=58 you just have to click on the thumbnails to read what they say.
Bollo's letter is really funny. -
Top Songs
@ 2008-07-16 – 21:04:45
I have been getting into some tunes recently. Here are a few.
Minty - Useless Man
This song is basically a man (Leigh Bowery to be precise) talking very fast in a tourette like manor. Robots played it on their DJ set at the Mighty Boosh Festival and I couldn't stop thinking about it ever since.
Le Tigre - Deceptacon
It's a really good track to dance to. If you like stuff like Peaches and Chicks on Speed you will most likely like them.
The Kills - Tape Song
Erm ignore the video. This was the best sounding video of this song that I could find.
I just really like it is such a simple song but Alisons so voice is so powerful that it makes it all good.Mint Royale - Blue Song
I think the video speaks for itself
I dont have any more videos but there are some other good songs;
Money - Daggers
Little Girls- X-Ray Eyes
Fine As Fuck- Scream Club feat Peaches
Set it Off- PeachesThat's I can be asked to do.
Oh if anyone knows any good bands please let me know.
Cheers

My Life (Soundtrack)
@ 2008-06-10 – 17:37:52
If my life were a movie this is what my sountrack will be.
To do this basically you have to put your ipod/itunes/any music thing on shuffle and see with what it comes up with. Each time you get a song you type it next to a part of your life but you have to do it in order (if that makes ANY sense.)
Well anyway I was bored and here's mine.

Contact Lenses??
@ 2008-06-08 – 21:33:47
Does anyone know where I could get some cosmetic contact lenses from?
I have brown eyes and I want to completely change the colour to either green or blue but I can't find any good sites.
They are purely cosmetic because i don't need glasses but I kind of want to get some by the end of this month so i need to find some quickly.I will be happy with any help that anyone could give.
Thank you -

Ok so this post is about two things.
First friends. Ok I have this friend Robyn a.ka Tinybox and she's started making her own music so please check her out if you can. It's acoustic and she has a sweet voice so add her or just listen to her stuff. She's amazing. http://www.myspace.com/jennermusicthanks
And secondly the eye. Basically I just drew a picture free hand of the Ebert eye thing for my art project and well here it is..

Oh yeah one more thing is Simon Amstell okay? Because I heard he's got HIV or AIDS or something but I don't know whether to believe the hype.

Love Music Hate Racism
@ 2008-04-29 – 17:03:55
I went with my friends today to the Love Music Hate Racism carnival and it was really good. We went really because it was free (excluding the £8 it took to get there)and because Babyshambles were meant to be playing, but they weren't anymore because Pete Doherty is obviously still in jail and couldn't perform.
There were other good bands there too though, Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly, Akala, The Paddingtons and Patrick Wolf were the four that we managed to see all of the way through. Patrick Wolf was the last person to perform on that stage, but he was the best one we saw. He was such a good front man and i do think he is quite attractive.

Overall the day was really good and had an amazing atmosphere. Everyone who stepped into the carnival had the same view; that the BNP should be wiped out and racism should be put to an end. The BNP is slowly becoming more of a threat, so if you're old enough to vote, vote against them because you're vote could be the difference between a peaceful and multicultured country and a Nazi nightmare.
I don't have much else to say really apart from when the next one comes up you should go because it was definately worth the £8 it took to get there and it was really good to be there and experience being among the thousands of people there all united in their love of music and hate of racism.
